MPA’s innovative team of engineers surpass client expectations by offering high quality service and unbeatable attention to detail through a customer-centric design process. We encourage our staff to maintain ongoing professional development as well as hold active memberships in professional societies such as ASHRAE, ASME, ASPE, and ISPE.
PASSIVE DESIGN STRATEGIES
Our passive design strategies include implementation of natural ventilation when it makes sense for our clients based on space use and project geographical location. Integration of natural ventilation and mechanical components (Mixed Mode Strategies) to energy while maintaining a comfortable environment.
Our Design/Build approach promotes solutions by providing the best balance of cost, function, efficiency, and maintainability. The Design/Build delivery vehicle allows for the most thoughtful coordination between the building owners, the designer, and the builder all while meeting the most aggressive schedules. Design/Build projects bring in over 40% of our annual revenue due to our cost saving strategies, ability to maintain budgets, and exceed project requirements.
HVAC SYSTEMS Design
Our high level of expertise influences optimal energy efficiency, thermal comfort, system reliability, system flexibility, and contribute to an overall sustainable site. We meet the client’s individual needs while reducing the buildings overall carbon footprint.
PLUMBING SYSTEMS DESIGN
Sustainable approaches to system development provides optimum levels of water and energy efficiency, system reliability, and system flexibility.
ENERGY MODELING & ANALYSIS
Our knowledge of building computer simulation programs such as EnergyPro and eQuest are used to analyze the energy use of existing and new buildings in order to determine either the compliance with Title-24 or the impact of a specific energy conservation measure on the energy use of the building.
The development of a Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) study is to be used for proper system selection for a specific building based on first cost, operating cost, and maintenance cost.
SUSTAINABLE SYSTEMS DESIGN
We have spearheaded the energy performance of numerous LEED projects and have been an instrumental part of the certification process. Our project teams have achieved all levels of LEED Certifications including Net Zero Certification. MPA is a proud member of the United Stated Green Building Council (USGBC) which promotes building designs that have a positive impact on the health of the occupants, while promoting renewable, and clean energy. Our staff includes LEED accredited individuals.

BUILDING AUTOMATION SYSTEMS
Our knowledge of Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems can save on energy use, provide proper thermal comfort, and make operating the building easier for facilities Managers and Engineers.
