What is it that drives you in your position / why do you like doing what you do? Simply put, I enjoy connecting the dots of engineering with people. I find the process of client collaboration to understand and translate needs into a functional design captivating. It is equally rewarding to work jointly with the contracting team to assist in bringing designs to life. In addition, I find the educational aspect of engineering appealing, as the field continually evolves and presents novel challenges, which requires a perpetual state of problem-solving and learning.

What do you like doing outside of work? Outside of work I enjoy surfing, mountain biking and spending time with my family. I also enjoy opportunities to give back to the community whether coaching youth sports or volunteering for service projects.

What is your favorite food / drink / place to travel? Something else you’d rather talk about? I am a big fan of trying new flavors so I really couldn’t settle on a specific food or drink. That is one of the great things about living in San Diego and the variety of cultures that exist throughout the city.
