A project devoted exclusively to unmarried sailors — consisted of three 18-story buildings containing energy efficient two-bed, two-bath units — located at the 32nd Street Naval Station under a partnership between the Navy and Clark Realty, a Maryland-based real estate and construction company. Pacific Beacon houses more than 2,400 sailors at Naval Station San Diego. Building A (459 units) was designed as two 18-story towers (totaling 592,586 sf) with a 9-story connector link between them. This link is constructed with retail and lobby on the first floor, living units on Levels 2 – 8, and recreational living, such as pool/spa and outdoor amenities located on Level 9. Other amenities included a stadium theater, fitness center, athletic facility, WIFI café, and game rooms. Building B (241 units) totaling 295,910 sf and Building C (241 units) totaling 295,910 sf were both designed as 18-story structures.
