Project Description
The San Diego Airport Terminal 2 United Airlines Tenant Improvement project consisted of a 16,000-sf tenant improvement located on Levels 1, 2, and 3 of the new Terminal 2 West Building at the San Diego International Airport. The expanded terminal offers travelers a faster, smoother, and amenity rich trip from the curb to their flights. This project was dubbed “The Green Build” due to its focus on the environment. Sustainable features include solar panels and reflective roofs. Inside the terminal, there are 10 new gates, new restaurant options, and service and retail shops. The project included the renovation to the existing parts east area, storage rooms, office areas, and locker areas as well as the addition of the following areas: air ops, quiet room, pilot room, briefing room, provisions areas, parts areas, comm rooms requiring dedicated 24-hour cooling, enclosed office area, open office areas, training rooms, locker rooms, break rooms, checkout areas, conference rooms, IDF room with 24-hour dedicated cooling, and a reception/administration area.
